Author Autograph Party – An Evening With The Authors
Thursday, March 27, 2008 8:15pm – 9:30pm
We have planned a Dessert Extravaganza for our registrants to have the opportunity to meet and interact with authors while attending the 2008 Gathering of Church Bookstores. Here is how it works.
We invite our participating authors to come to the STL Dinner as our guest. As they arrive, we place them at different tables so that they may have the opportunity to dine with a table of Church bookstore managers and attendees. Following the STL program, we will invite the authors to the front of the room where they will introduce themselves and the book they will be signing at their table.
At 8:15pm, we will dismiss them to their tables – and then we will dismiss our registrants into the assigned area for this event.
This event is designed to help church bookstore managers connect with authors and to get to know them better. It was a highlight of last year’s event, and promises to be the same in 2008.

This is an opportunity for you to pick up copies of these authors books to review personally, or to share with a member of your staff. It is not intended to be an activity in which people take books they never intend to review or share with their staff. If collecting books so that you can take them home and sell the complimentary copies on your shelves is your plan or goal – you will miss the point of this special evening.
